Project StoriesLocal Union
New offices means new records management policies to save space and be more effective.
Moving Somewhere Smaller
This department was able to meet the demanding needs of their members and their staff, by allowing the staff to easily see what records existed for any new members going forward. Ultimately, their plan is to also conduct a back-file conversion.
Digital Scanning to Drop-Off Library
The records management staff at a local union needed to begin retaining their records electronically. They had over 12 million records, and were moving to a new facility which would have limited space.
The client had licensing for O365 (which includes SharePoint) and purchased scanning software that would allow direct scanning into a Drop-Off-Library for processing. Once the items were scanned, the staff was trained to complete a small amount of metadata and the records would ultimately go into a library that had the appropriate retention applied.
